Kathryn Sargent – the first woman to open a Savile Row shop

Kathryn Sargent is the tailor to both David Beckham and various members of the Royal Family has become the first ever woman to open her bespoke London Savile Row shop. She is launching at number 37. Back in 2009 she established herself as the first female head-cutter on the street when she joined Gieves and Hawkes.

Her store will have to first sit through a trial period until the end of August. After then she will further decide if Savile Row is the way to go. She runs an appointment only service already on Brook Street and her bespoke 2-piece suits start on £4,200, although there is a slightly more affordable made to measure service. Her tailoring service shall be gender neutral and cater for both men and women.

Thankfully you don’t have to travel all the way to London and spend $8000 to get your own bespoke suit, when you can simply order from GVS at a fraction of the price for the same quality and work that’s put into the suit. Help us help you and support our brand to help us move forward.
